In this new series, Neil takes a trip to Download Festival 2017 – an annual rock festival held at Donington motor racing circuit.
A rock festival has been held at Donington every year since 1980. Initially taking place over just one day and catering to 35,000 fans, the festival evolved and now attracts around 100,000 over three days. Visitors can stay and camp at the site over five days, making the most of the two extra days to meet up with friends before three further days of music.
Past performers have included AC/DC, Metallica, Slipknot, Rammstein and Aerosmith, to name but a few. 2017 included headliners System of a Down, Biffy Clyro, and Aerosmith. A huge number of bands performed many sub-genres of rock.
In this five-part vlog, we follow Neil’s trip to collect his bright yellow camper van, meet up with friends along the way, and the adventures had in the fields of Castle Donington!
The series contains flashing images and strong swearing from the start. It’s not for the faint-hearted!
